As Lucidya scales its platform and moves toward IPO-scale engineering, the company is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer.

The Role

This full-time Frontend Software Engineer role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is suitable for engineers with 0-2 years of professional experience. The position focuses on building high-quality user experiences, continuous learning, and applying modern engineering practices, including AI, to deliver software efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in frontend development and thrive in an environment that values ownership, speed, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-grade web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable frontend components.
• Translate product requirements and designs into intuitive and responsive user experiences.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time communication services, including WebSockets/***
• Work with event-driven flows connected to RabbitMQ and backend messaging systems, managing real-time updates and synchronization.
• Manage server state efficiently using React Query/TanStack Query and client-side state with Redux/Redux Toolkit when appropriate.
• Contribute to improving frontend architecture, performance, code organization, and maintainability.
• Write reliable unit and integration tests using Jest, and build end-to-end tests using Playwright.
• Participate in code reviews, identify regressions, and debug issues systematically.
• Utilize AI coding tools to accelerate research, prototyping, implementation, debugging, testing, and refactoring, while critically validating AI-generated code.
• Take ownership of work from requirement understanding through implementation, testing, review, and production.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, QA engineers, product managers, and designers.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• 0-2 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and hands-on experience building applications with React.
• Good understanding of TypeScript, React fundamentals (components, hooks, state management, rendering, lifecycle), and integrating applications with APIs.
• Familiarity with React Query/TanStack Query, Redux/Redux Toolkit, Jest, and Playwright.
• Familiarity with real-time frontend architectures using WebSockets/** and basic understanding of message queues/event-driven systems like RabbitMQ.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to debug problems and write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Practical experience using AI tools to improve software engineering productivity.
• Strong willingness to learn and continuously improve, with good communication and teamwork skills.
