About the Role

Golf Saudi is seeking a dedicated and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing all aspects of golf course agronomy and maintenance operations. The primary objective is to ensure excellent playing conditions, safety, and consistent course presentation throughout the year, in alignment with Golf Saudi standards and club objectives. The Superintendent will lead the maintenance team to execute turf health programs, manage irrigation, and oversee resource planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day golf course agronomy and maintenance operations to ensure high-quality playing conditions and course presentation.
• Develop and implement annual agronomy and maintenance plans, including turf health, fertilization, pest and disease management, and seasonal programs, aligned with course standards and budget.
• Lead and supervise course maintenance teams and service providers; allocate work schedules, set daily priorities, and monitor performance and attendance.
• Manage irrigation systems and water usage to ensure effective coverage, sustainability, and compliance with relevant requirements.
• Oversee equipment and machinery readiness, maintenance schedules, and safe operation practices; coordinate repairs and vendor support as needed.
• Conduct routine course inspections to identify risks, quality gaps, or safety hazards; implement corrective actions and preventative maintenance plans.
• Coordinate course set-up and preparation for tournaments and events, including greens speed targets, pin positions, course markings, and logistics, in collaboration with Golf Operations and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental practices, and chemical handling requirements; maintain accurate records and incident reporting.

Operational Management and Reporting

• Support budget planning, cost control, procurement needs, and inventory management for agronomy supplies, chemicals, and consumables.
• Prepare periodic reports and operational updates for the General Manager, covering KPIs, maintenance status, identified risks, and improvement recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting best practices, providing training to team members, and implementing productivity and quality enhancements.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time role should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in golf course management or a closely related field. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to manage complex agronomy programs and lead maintenance teams effectively.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves leading a dedicated maintenance team. The role requires collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to maintain high standards of course presentation and playability for daily operations and tournaments.
