About Anan Real Estate Company and the Role

Anan Real Estate Company is seeking a Government Relations Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is essential for managing the company's interactions with various governmental and regulatory bodies, ensuring smooth operations and full compliance with local regulations.

Role Summary

The Government Relations Officer will be responsible for overseeing and tracking all government transactions pertinent to the company. This includes building and maintaining professional relationships with relevant government and regulatory entities to facilitate procedures and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and instructions within the Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Representing the company before government and regulatory bodies to complete all official transactions.
  • Following up on company requirements, licenses, and activities with the General Real Estate Authority (REGA).
  • Coordinating with the Saudi Electricity Company regarding real estate project services and utility connections.
  • Managing transactions with the National Water Company (NWC) related to projects and properties.
  • Monitoring all procedures with Municipalities and Secretariats, including obtaining licenses, permits, and project approvals.
  • Handling General Directorate of Passports transactions for employees.
  • Tracking and renewing the commercial register, Chamber of Commerce certificates, and other necessary government licenses.
  • Monitoring expiry dates for all official licenses, permits, and documents, ensuring timely renewal before due dates.
  • Coordinating with internal departments to fulfill regulatory requirements for projects and employees.
  • Preparing periodic reports for senior management on government transaction status, completion rates, and any regulatory challenges or risks.
  • Building positive professional relationships with government entities to streamline operations efficiently.
  • Monitoring updates in government regulations and bylaws, and informing relevant departments to ensure continuous compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a related specialization.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in government relations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Previous experience in real estate development, investment, or contracting companies is preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of government procedures and regulatory systems relevant to the real estate sector.
  • Good understanding of procedures for the General Real Estate Authority, Municipalities, Secretariats, and service entities related to real estate projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required; a good command of English is preferred.
