About the Opportunity

Ultimate Peaks Talent & Strategy is seeking a Head of Freight to lead and manage all freight and logistics operations for a key client. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing critical aspects of the supply chain to ensure efficient and reliable transportation of goods.

Role Overview and Strategic Focus

The Head of Freight will hold a strategic leadership role, responsible for driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service excellence across the client's supply chain. The primary objective is to ensure the timely and reliable transportation of goods, aligning all freight and logistics activities with overall business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive freight and logistics strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end freight operations, including inbound, outbound, and cross-border shipments.
• Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Oversee transportation planning, routing, and scheduling to optimize delivery times and costs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, performance improvement, and professional development.
• Monitor freight Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), analyze data to identify trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in freight and logistics operations.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale freight and transportation operations.
