About the Role: Manager - International Freight and Clearing

Red Sea Global is seeking a Manager - International Freight and Clearing to oversee and manage the efficient and secure movement of goods. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is within Red Sea Coastal Trading Company, a specialized supply chain and logistics subsidiary of Red Sea Global, dedicated to supporting the company's pioneering developments along the Red Sea coast and beyond.

Role Context and Purpose

As a key player in the transportation and logistics industry, the Freight Forwarder is responsible for coordinating the seamless delivery of materials, equipment, and services. This subsidiary manages end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement support, transportation coordination, inventory and warehouse management, and last-mile logistics. The focus is on efficiency, reliability, and environmental responsibility, ensuring all supply chain activities align with Red Sea Global's commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the shipment process, including booking, documentation, and customs clearance.
  • Arrange transportation and logistics services, such as trucking, shipping, and air freight, to meet specific shipment needs.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any issues or delays.
  • Optimize shipping routes and methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other members of the logistics team to streamline operations and enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and carriers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and process necessary shipping and customs documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Provide customer service by promptly addressing inquiries or concerns and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve freight forwarding processes.

Operational Standards and Compliance

Adhere to all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is conducted in a controlled and consistent manner. Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional Management Information System (MIS) statements and reports, meeting corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards. Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services, and responsible environmental practices.

Continuous Improvement and Development

Contribute to identifying opportunities for the continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes, and practices. This includes considering international best practices, improving business processes, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in international freight forwarding and customs clearing. A strong understanding of logistics operations, international trade regulations, and supply chain management is essential.
