Head of Matchday events

About the Role

Alnassr Club Company is seeking a Head of Matchday Events to lead and oversee all matchday events and operations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is crucial for ensuring seamless event delivery and an exceptional experience for fans, players, VIPs, and stakeholders. The role focuses on matchday planning, operational coordination, stakeholder management, safety compliance, and enhancing the overall fan experience in alignment with the Club’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the strategy and standards for matchday experiences, ticketing, fan engagement, and Club events.
• Oversee the safe, engaging, and brand-aligned delivery of home matches, sponsor activations, and non-matchday events.
• Provide oversight of ticketing plans, allocations, attendance, and revenue performance in collaboration with responsible teams and the stadium operator.
• Align Football, Commercial, Operations, Security, Ticketing, and Events teams on priorities and stakeholder commitments.
• Maintain senior-level coordination with the SPL, SAFF, AFC, Ministry of Sport, and other relevant authorities and partners.
• Oversee budgets, supplier performance, contracts, and procurement within the Club's approval framework.
• Ensure readiness, contingency planning, and compliance with competition, venue, safety, and permit requirements.
• Oversee Ministry of Sport-required Club events and related evidence for governance targets and associated revenue eligibility.
• Review attendance, fan feedback, ticketing outcomes, event performance, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead the resolution and escalation of major matchday, event, and stakeholder issues.
• Review operating plans, performance reports, risk assessments, and post-event learnings.
• Lead and develop the team, clarify ownership, and drive service quality and operational efficiency.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in event management and operations, preferably within a sports or large-scale entertainment environment.
