About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist, Non-Invasive. This full-time position requires the technologist to work independently to ensure a safe and proper environment for diagnostic testing across various hospital settings. The role is essential in producing meaningful diagnostic information by recognizing and eliminating artifacts, which is then presented to physicians for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a range of non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker and ICD analysis, blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography procedures (including Transesophageal Echocardiography - TEE), and Stress Echocardiography (SE).
• Conduct urgent procedures on critically ill patients portably in various locations such as wards, the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICUs, and the Emergency Room, as requested and required.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or any other setting as needed.
• Observe and monitor patients during procedures, identifying signs of distress or medical emergencies, taking appropriate remedial action, and notifying the nurse and/or physician as necessary.
• Generate diagnostic information, obtain measured and calculated data, and prepare preliminary reports for physician review.
• Document and log all patient events and procedures accurately.
• Ensure a safe working environment and the safe operation of all equipment, monitoring for hazards or maintenance needs and reporting them to the Senior Cardiovascular Technologist or Manager.
• Calibrate and operate equipment according to established protocols.
• Clean and disinfect clinical equipment in accordance with Laboratory, Hospital, and manufacturer policies and instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and adequate stocking of procedure rooms with necessary supplies and linen.
• Participate in the on-call roster and assist with emergency resuscitation procedures.
• Adhere to sterile technique principles for procedures involving the Cardiac Cath Lab, OR, and isolation patients.
• Comply with all infection control policies and procedures relevant to the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab.
• Adhere to section policies, procedures, and protocols, and participate in the quality improvement program in accordance with accreditation standards (CBAHI, JCI, SFDA, etc.).
• Comply with radiation safety rules and regulations of the hospital and national/international bodies (KACST, * CARE).
• Apply and ensure compliance with the ALARA principle for all procedures involving radiation exposure.
• Follow all Hospital-related Policies and Procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Associate Degree/Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology, Cardiac Ultrasound, or an equivalent Healthcare field is required.
• Two (2) years of related experience is required for candidates with a Bachelor's degree.
• Four (4) years of related experience is required for candidates with an Associate Degree/Diploma.
• Current Registration from the country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.

Required Skills
