We are seeking a Head of Support Services – Central to join our team in Riyadh on a full-time basis.

The Head of Support Services – Central Role

The Regional Head of Support Services (HoSS) for the Central region is the senior Support Services representative for their assigned area. As a key member of the Business Services team, this role is responsible for the direct and indirectly managed delivery of multiple service stream outputs at the Riyadh location, reporting through the Head of Employee Support Services to the Director Business Shared Services. The position requires interpreting business strategy and significantly contributing to the development and implementation of Support Services and wider Business Shared Services strategy, policy, and procedures to meet current and future operational needs. It demands extensive services knowledge, a detailed understanding of the business, market, and key competitors, and involves considerable experience and judgment to make timely decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and timeliness of business services, including medical, accommodation, workplace, and employee services, primarily supporting expatriate workforce and dependants.
• Collaborate with functional stream leads to ensure effective performance and governance of all assets, budgets, and services delivered to customers.
• Hold appropriate levels of Delegation of Authority (DOA) and maintain full accountability for all delegated budgets.
• Lead internal and external service assurance activities with outsourced providers covering the location.
• Support performance reporting for Quarterly Financial Reviews (QFR) and other business reviews.
• Contribute significantly to establishing and maintaining effective talent management processes and developing functional talent.
• Provide expert advice to senior management on all aspects of service provision at the location.
• Set SMART objectives for self and team members in the management of business services.
• Serve as the primary interface with local Base Management for all Business Services and be a key, active member of the Base level management board.
• Hold line management responsibility for all service teams and overall management of all Business Services employees at the location.
• Support the Head of Employee Support Services in the design, development, and implementation of Business Services strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage local suppliers for local services and support the procurement team for centrally managed suppliers.

Essential Qualifications

• A degree or master's degree in business administration or a related discipline.
• Extensive business services experience, with some in a leadership or management role within a mid-size organisation, preferably in the aviation or defence industry.
• In-depth understanding of business services concepts and procedures within own technical and subject areas.
• Comprehensive knowledge of several service areas and how their processes and resources interact to achieve functional objectives.
• Experience in full team management, including defining roles, planning future needs, counselling employees, and contributing to pay decisions.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in applying and consolidating specialist skills and knowledge, ensuring essential procedures are followed, and identifying standards and specifications for others.
• Good understanding of industry and commercial awareness to position the Company’s products and services against competitors.
• Ability to evaluate complex situations using multiple information sources, referring to diverse internal and external procedures and practices.
• Capability to filter, prioritise, analyse, and validate complex and dynamic material.
• Proven impact on the business through providing value-added perspectives or advisory services crucial for decision-making.
• High-level communication skills, including interactive listening and negotiation with senior internal stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing, and management skills, including engagement at local senior leadership level.

Compensation and Work Environment

This full-time position offers a competitive salary. The role requires national travel within KSA to attend various functional review meetings and involves interfacing with all business and KPC management.
