The Opportunity: Health and Safety Coordinator (Saudi National)

Parsons is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Coordinator to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is open to Saudi Nationals with 0-1 years of experience, providing an opportunity to contribute to site-specific HSE plans and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards. The coordinator will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture across project operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of site-specific Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor daily work activities to verify compliance with established safety protocols, proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, and environmental standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, identifying and reporting any non-compliance issues or potential hazards.
  • Document and report all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support investigations into incidents to determine root causes and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate HSE records and dashboards for management review and reporting.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and various training sessions to project personnel.
  • Actively promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all project staff and contractors.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and HSE leadership to effectively implement safety measures.
  • Assist in liaising with regulatory bodies during inspections or audits to ensure compliance.
  • Support the ongoing review and enhancement of existing HSE procedures and programs.
  • Identify trends in safety performance and recommend proactive initiatives to reduce incidents and minimize environmental impact.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • 0-1 years of relevant professional experience.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project environment.
