I&C Manager

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an I&C Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing all Instrumentation & Control (I&C), automation, and SCADA activities within renewable energy projects. The role ensures safe, timely, and high-quality execution in alignment with approved designs, specifications, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage I&C, automation, SCADA, and control system activities for PV Solar/BESS projects.
• Review and coordinate engineering deliverables, including control philosophies, I/O lists, instrument specifications, cable schedules, loop diagrams, and system architecture.
• Manage the installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation, control panels, RTUs/PLCs, SCADA, and communication systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, T&C, and subcontractor teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions.
• Monitor site execution to ensure activities are completed according to the approved schedule.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and technical support.
• Ensure proper integration of SCADA, PLC/RTU, PPC, EMS/BMS, and plant communication systems, as applicable.
• Coordinate the interface between PV/BESS control systems and grid/substation systems.
• Monitor testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and functional performance of I&C systems.
• Identify technical issues, interface constraints, and delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections, NCR resolution, and punch-point closure with QA/QC.
• Coordinate with the client/consultant for technical approvals, inspections, and system acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IEC/IEEE standards, grid-code requirements, and project specifications.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and safe execution practices.

Experience and Qualifications

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate I&C, automation, and SCADA activities for renewable energy projects.
