About the Role

Jobstronaut is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, operating systems, backup solutions, and core IT services. This position focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the organization's technology environment. The role requires strong technical expertise in Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking fundamentals, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure environments.
• Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux servers.
• Administer virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Manage enterprise storage solutions, SAN/NAS infrastructure, and storage optimization.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively resolve issues.
• Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management services.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Deploy operating system patches, firmware updates, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Implement infrastructure security best practices, including endpoint protection, privileged access management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Configure and maintain high-availability and failover solutions.
• Support cloud infrastructure deployments on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Collaborate with network, security, database, and application teams to support enterprise systems.
• Develop infrastructure automation scripts where applicable.
• Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise IT infrastructure. Strong technical expertise is required in the following areas:

• Windows and Linux server administration.
• Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Networking fundamentals.
• Disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Preferred Certifications

Candidates holding one or more of the following certifications will be considered an advantage:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• CompTIA Server+
• ITIL Foundation Certification
