Job Description
About the Role
Clyde & Co is seeking an IP Administrator to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves handling administrative functions crucial to the management and prosecution of intellectual property, including trademarks, patents, and designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize intellectual property database tools to prepare application forms for trademarks, patents, and designs, as well as other routine English-language documentation for filing and prosecution.
- Organize the translation of correspondence between Clyde & Co and the Trade Marks and Patent Office, ensuring letters from the Office are translated into English and correspondence from Clyde & Co is translated into English and Arabic.
- Liaise with case handlers to prepare routine letters and documents based on precedents, including trademark approval sheets, Powers of Attorney, and standard letters instructing agents and reporting to clients.
- Manage original documents.
- Make telephone calls to the Trade Marks and Patent Offices.
- Accurately enter data into the trademark database.
- Take responsibility for the quality of all work produced.
- Effectively monitor all case deadlines.
- Provide cover for team member absences.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed by the IP Operations Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education up to high school level or equivalent; a degree is desirable.
- Previous administration experience gained within professional services is required; trademark or patent administration experience is desirable.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- An ability to work effectively in a team, collaborating with administrators, paralegals, and case handlers.
- An ability to multi-task.
- An ability to prioritize a busy workload and work effectively under pressure.
- An ability to work to tight case deadlines and take a proactive approach to work.
Work Environment
This is a full-time role based in Riyadh. The position involves working as part of a team of administrators.
