IT Director, Riyadh

IMMUNE Technology Institute is seeking an experienced IT Director to lead its technology strategy and operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and involves defining, leading, and executing the institute’s technology infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity operations within the Kingdom. The IT Director will report directly to the General Manager and coordinate with the Global Operations team to establish the technological foundation for digital campus activities, B2C bootcamps, and B2B/B2G corporate training programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the local IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to executive leadership, establishing IT governance, best practices, and service delivery standards across KSA.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP, alongside campus physical technology, ensuring high availability, scalability, low latency, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement enterprise-grade security controls and incident response frameworks, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity and data protection regulations, including NCA/ECC standards and PDPL/SDAIA.
  • Oversee the integration, performance, and data flow of core enterprise platforms such as CRM (HubSpot/Salesforce), Learning Management Systems (LMS), ERPs, and automated student onboarding workflows.
  • Architect and maintain secure, seamless technology integration between the Madrid headquarters and the Riyadh hub, coordinating shared services, unified identity management, and cross-border platform scaling.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local IT and systems support team, and manage relationships with telecom providers, hardware vendors, software licensors, and local IT service contractors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience in IT leadership roles.
  • Full bilingual fluency in English (professional fluent) and Arabic (native or professional fluent), both written and spoken.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with public cloud platforms, specifically AWS, network security, firewalls, and enterprise identity management (Azure AD / Okta).
  • Deep understanding of Saudi Arabia's data privacy regulations (PDPL), data residency requirements, and NCA cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Prior experience managing complex IT environments within EdTech, Higher Education, Technology Services, or Multinational Corporations operating in KSA.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful vendor negotiations, budget management, and RFP/procurement management for hardware and software systems.
  • Industry certifications such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or ITIL are strongly preferred.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to design scalable, resilient IT infrastructure that supports commercial scaling, student learning experiences, and corporate client integrations.
  • Proficiency in navigating complex regulatory environments in KSA, implementing robust defense-in-depth measures, and managing data sovereignty requirements.
  • Experience connecting disparate SaaS tools, APIs, CRM workflows, and virtual lab environments into a cohesive digital learning ecosystem.
  • Capability to translate complex technical concepts, infrastructure costs, and security risks into clear, ROI-driven business decisions for C-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated hands-on problem-solving and crisis management skills, maintaining operational composure during high-pressure situations or technical disruptions.
  • Solid knowledge of modern API architecture, LMS platforms (*, Canvas, Moodle, Open edX), and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with setting up high-performance physical campus infrastructure, including smart classrooms, AV lab systems, and high-density networks.
