About Sobi and the KAM Hematology Role
Sobi – Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (publ) is a specialized biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and delivering innovative therapies to improve the lives of people living with rare diseases. We are seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) for Hematology to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring patient access to Sobi's treatments within the assigned territory.
Purpose of the Role
The Key Account Manager is accountable for the assigned product portfolio within their territory. This position involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The role focuses on driving patient identification, supporting reimbursement processes, and ensuring timely patient access to treatment. Additionally, the KAM collaborates with medical and allied healthcare professionals to promote the optimal use of Sobi's therapies, providing scientific and product support while contributing to sales objectives and improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate disease state knowledge and awareness to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
- Act as a credible field-based reference to introduce and build product and disease awareness.
- Develop long-term relationships with assigned customers/accounts, including Physicians and Payors.
- Identify and resolve issues and opportunities, communicating proactively to sales and marketing management.
- Implement a customer-centric approach, defining priorities through account plans and delivering value propositions.
- Design and implement specific projects at the account level, interacting with hospital pharmacies, purchasing departments, and management boards.
- Analyze product performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide solutions for challenges.
- Provide, update, and analyze data related to the Sobi portfolio in all accounts at the area level (*, monthly consumption, forecasted orders, phasing of orders, stocks).
- Ensure Sobi products are used effectively and efficaciously.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to develop tactical plans for scaling up product access and ensuring product availability.
- Conduct scientific exchange with HCPs and support earlier patient identification.
- Provide support for evidence-based treatment protocols and pathways.
- Identify customers and manage sales promotion of assigned registered products to target doctors to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Conduct regular visits and participate in symposiums, congresses, and meetings to increase market presence.
- Carry out business-related actions in line with industry code of ethics and company policies.
- Develop weekly and monthly visit plans in consultation with the line manager.
- Maintain and update product and competition knowledge to represent Sobi as a leader in rare diseases.
- Implement ongoing targeting and profiling of customers.
- Liaise with key opinion leaders, gather market feedback, and report relevant information.
- Ensure proper reporting and monitoring of competition activities and market dynamics.
- Enrich continuous collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate proper planning, time management, a high sense of urgency, and fast execution of assigned tasks.
- Make timely decisions and take the lead in initiating efficient action plans when needed.
- Contribute to Sobi's mission of delivering transformational treatments to people with rare diseases.
Qualifications and Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Ability to manage a diversified portfolio and business complexity.
- Proven track record of achievements and consistent ability to meet and exceed sales budgets.
- Knowledge of local health systems and decision-making processes.
