About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Key Account Manager I EXA Ceramics to join its Project Sales Department in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing key customer relationships, ensuring their needs and requirements are met efficiently and to high-quality standards, aligning with company policies and procedures to achieve departmental plans and targets.

Key Account Management Responsibilities

  • Provide solutions and address all requirements and queries from key customers to maintain strong business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Actively engage potential clients and promote the company’s new products.
  • Offer product suggestions and alternatives to customers during the product selection process.
  • Upload relevant customer data into the C4C (Customer Relationship Management) system.
  • Submit samples and necessary documents to clients, diligently following up for approval.
  • Propose new ideas and strategies aimed at increasing sales performance.
  • Stay informed on competitor activities in the market, including new products, pricing, and promotions, and report findings to the Project Sales department.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports on key account activities.
  • Prepare and submit quotations to clients, following up consistently until approval is secured.
  • Attend team meetings to ensure alignment and stay informed on departmental objectives.
  • Monitor and follow up on collections with clients, coordinating with accounts for bank posting.

Operational and Strategic Accountabilities

  • Assume full responsibility for assigned operations and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive measures to prevent them.
  • Make necessary and timely decisions to support operational efficiency.
  • Deliver required results punctually, meeting specified quality and cost standards.
  • Contribute tangibly to the area of operation, aiming to exceed business expectations.
  • Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans.
  • Plan, follow up on, and execute both annual and development plans.
  • Monitor plan performance, initiating actions to strengthen results and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Provide periodic work progress reports to management.
  • Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimal cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing the organizational structure in line with current and future requirements.
  • Ensure the availability and deployment of job descriptions for all relevant roles.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking automation opportunities.
  • Be proficient in and navigate relevant IT solutions, promoting their full utilization within the team.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.
  • Adapt to new and alternative techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.

Team Leadership and Quality Focus

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high-performing individuals, providing opportunities for growth to build a robust second line of management.
  • Identify low performers and provide guidance for improvement or manage their release.
  • Treat subordinates equally without discrimination, basing assessment criteria on performance leading to planned results.
  • Ensure the delegation of authority matrix is available and provides sufficient delegations as per company policy.
  • Champion quality as Alfanar’s prime competitive advantage, acting as a role model in this regard.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience is required for this role.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
