About the Lead Piping Engineer Role

Technip Energies is seeking a Lead Piping Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role requires 5-10 years of experience and is focused on managing and executing piping-related engineering and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

The Lead Piping Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:

  • Marking up isometric drawings and issuing them to subcontractors for construction.
  • Managing spooling activities, including isometric revisions and as-built documentation preparation.
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor deliverables such as as-built drawings, method statements, material authorization requests, and test packages.
  • Preparing and managing technical documentation, including P&ID and CLL modifications, rerouting of critical lines, and handling technical queries, deviation requests, and golden joint approvals.
  • Coordinating with clients, operations, and internal departments to resolve engineering and site-related issues.
  • Supporting the closure of engineering punch lists, test package comments, and PSSR items related to piping layout and interfaces.

Tie-in Planning and Execution

This role involves detailed planning and execution of tie-in activities:

  • Coordinating with clients on tie-in schedules and execution strategies.
  • Identifying tie-in locations, including draining, venting, and blinding points, in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Verifying the constructability of IFC drawings and tie-in packages against actual site conditions.
  • Planning and executing tie-in works within tight shutdown or operational constraints.
  • Preparing and obtaining approvals for HSE requirements, such as firewater isolation, impairment forms, and road closures.
  • Preparing waiver requests for service tests or golden joints when necessary.

Material and Site Management

Effective management of materials and site operations is crucial:

  • Monitoring material availability and initiating field purchase requests for additional requirements.
  • Addressing and resolving site queries raised by supervision and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with approved procedures, specifications, and project requirements.

Work Location and Conditions

The position is based in Riyadh. The work schedule involves 10 hours per day, 6 days per week.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. Only transferrable Iqama holders and local candidates will be considered for this role.
