About Master Works and the Role

Master Works is seeking a Legal Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to provide comprehensive legal advice and support, ensuring the organization's adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Legal Consultant will serve as a key advisor, offering expert guidance on a broad spectrum of legal matters. A significant aspect of this role involves ensuring compliance, particularly with a focus on data management and data privacy requirements. Candidates with proven experience in Legal Affairs within a public-sector entity are preferred for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and consultation across a wide range of legal matters.
  • Review, draft, and provide recommendations on contracts, agreements, legal documents, and correspondence.
  • Interpret applicable laws, regulations, policies, and regulatory requirements, offering legal guidance accordingly.
  • Monitor updates and changes to Saudi laws and regulations, assessing their potential impact on the organization.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, reports, and recommendations.
  • Identify potential legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Support the development and review of legal policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide legal advice on data management, data governance, and data privacy matters.
  • Advise on data protection and privacy requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the Kingdom.
  • Offer legal guidance on matters related to data collection, processing, sharing, retention, and protection.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to address legal matters and inquiries.
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors and counsel when required.
  • Support the organization in addressing legal disputes and other legal matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant Saudi laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in Legal Affairs, preferably within a public-sector entity.
  • Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and legal frameworks applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Experience in data management and data privacy.
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy requirements.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, consultation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical recommendations.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
