About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves ensuring the safety of swimmers and maintaining the recreation facility according to established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not safely participate in an activity and report to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a positive and relaxing environment for guests.
• Manage towels by obtaining, folding, and stacking them according to company procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties including washing, mopping, and cleaning the pool deck.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, maintain a professional appearance, anticipate guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests genuinely.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and co-workers.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed necessary to respond to work situations, including running, walking, or jogging.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ladders, stairs, and service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
