About the Role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Life Guard to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves ensuring the safety of guests in the swimming area, promoting facility rules, and providing assistance as needed. The role requires a proactive approach to guest safety and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize appropriate rescue techniques when swimmers require assistance.
• Monitor the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual activities, and struggling swimmers.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
• Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisors.
• Provide initial assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Contribute to a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Manage towels by obtaining, folding, and stacking them according to company procedures.
• Perform cleaning duties for the pool deck, including washing, mopping, and general cleaning.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, ensuring a professional appearance.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and co-workers.
• Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

The role involves visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines for defects. It requires the ability to move at various speeds (*, run, walk, jog) to respond to work situations. The Life Guard must be able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift. Physical tasks include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance. The position also requires grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, as well as moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and ascending/descending ladders, stairs, and service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, are also necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
