About the Role

Sitaf Food is seeking a Logistics Specialist to manage and support end-to-end logistics operations for all inbound air and sea shipments. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 5-10 years of experience in the field.

Role Overview

The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure the cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of goods. This role involves verifying shipping documentation, tracking active shipments, and proactively communicating updates to relevant stakeholders to maintain smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on all air and sea orders placed by the purchasing team to ensure timely booking and dispatch.
• Arrange shipping orders with freight forwarders, including booking, scheduling, and confirming vessel or flight allocations.
• Negotiate freight quotes with forwarders on a per-shipment and volume basis, aiming for competitive rates aligned with company targets.
• Verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, airway bills, packing lists, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices, for accuracy and compliance.
• Track all active containers and air shipments to ensure arrival within scheduled timelines, proactively escalating any delays.
• Communicate any disruptions, delays, or exceptions to relevant stakeholders, including procurement, sales, and operations, in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping operations, or logistics coordination.
• A solid understanding of air and sea freight processes, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
• Previous experience working with or at freight forwarders is required.
• Familiarity with carrier booking systems.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
• Experience in food, FMCG, or temperature-controlled logistics is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh. The role requires close collaboration with various internal departments and external logistics providers.
