About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining the security and operational continuity of Amazon's extensive operations network. The specialist will deliver security services across the end-to-end supply chain, focusing on protecting personnel and preventing loss.

Role Context and Impact

This position is part of the Global Security Operations organization, where Security and Loss Prevention efforts contribute to Amazon's business objectives and brand strength. The team actively protects against relevant threats and manages security and loss prevention risks. These risks include potential jeopardy to associates and customers, disruption of business operations, damage to assets, and adverse impacts on brand reputation. The role involves proactive prevention, incident intervention, and thorough investigation to identify and remove root causes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to emergency and crisis planning for sites within the area of responsibility to support business resilience.
• Identify vulnerabilities, such as loss, associate experience, and process improvement opportunities, and define appropriate mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as a primary contact and coordinate risk management measures with local management and external stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies and industry associations, on all security-related matters.
• Ensure assigned sites comply with Amazon's global security standards.
• Perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events.
• Collect information during investigations by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews.
• Identify process vulnerabilities and contribute to the development of mitigating measures.
• Maintain the physical integrity of sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of systems, collaborating with subject matter experts and external suppliers to ensure functionality.
• Interact daily with external security service providers to ensure high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.
• Act as a point of contact and subject matter expert for various internal and external departments, including legal, HR, security service providers, and local law enforcement, on Security and Loss Prevention matters.
• Deliver loss prevention education and awareness programs to other teams and liaise with stakeholders across all management levels on policy and procedure.

Basic Qualifications

• Relevant education or experience in security or risk-related fields, such as security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, or compliance.
• Professional experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

• A relevant degree, degree equivalent, or industry certification.
• Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, distribution center services, delivery services, or supply chain environments.
• Experience working with data.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
