About the Role

State Street is seeking a Manager Fund Accounting and Administration AVP to oversee day-to-day fund accounting and administration services. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, KSA, and involves managing a team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services in accordance with client agreements and quality standards. The role may also encompass other Middle East domicile funds.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager Fund Accounting and Administration AVP will be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily operations of fund accounting and administration services, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Acting as a senior escalation point for internal State Street and client-related queries, taking ownership or delegating as appropriate.
  • Collaborating with State Street’s Outsourced Service Centers and Centers of Excellence to ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
  • Managing staff, ensuring they are trained, coached, and developed according to their roles and development pathways.
  • Leading projects, conducting team and department-level process analysis, and driving initiatives across business aspects at the departmental level.
  • Overseeing client valuations and ensuring relevant checks against fund benchmarks and reasonability reports are completed.
  • Maintaining managerial oversight of all operations conducted by the Fund Group.
  • Acting as an escalation point for technical issues encountered in daily business.
  • Monitoring errors and potential losses/breaches, completing necessary documentation, and ensuring remediation and training actions are identified and implemented.
  • Attending service calls as required and planning for confirmed projects, acting as the primary liaison for Fund Accounting activities.
  • Continuously reviewing the operating environment and implementing improvements.
  • Liaising with staff and client relationship managers to understand and manage process amendments for client initiatives, identifying potential gaps and business impacts.
  • Assisting as a Subject Matter Expert during client visits or projects requiring technical process knowledge.
  • Ensuring effective logging and resolution of inquiries within agreed timescales.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A primary degree or a professional or accounting qualification or equivalent.
  • Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in team management within a financial services environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word and Excel.
