About the Opportunity
Aon in the Middle East is seeking a Manager of Actuarial and Analytics to join its Health & Benefits team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to Aon's mission to shape decisions for the better, protecting and enriching lives globally by optimizing employee health, wellbeing, and insurance programs for clients.
Role Purpose and Scope
The Manager of Actuarial and Analytics for the Central Region leads actuarial and analytical services for Health & Benefits clients. This position provides strategic insights through advanced data analysis, healthcare cost modeling, risk assessment, benchmarking, and forecasting. The role supports clients in making informed decisions regarding their employee benefits programs and collaborates with Sales, Client Management, Account Management, and Insurers to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance client outcomes and improve healthcare plan performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead actuarial and analytics projects for Health & Benefits clients across the Central Region.
- Develop healthcare cost forecasts, trend analyses, utilization reviews, and financial projections.
- Conduct actuarial assessments of medical, life, and employee benefit plans.
- Develop pricing models and evaluate insurance renewal proposals.
- Analyze claims experience and recommend strategies to improve plan performance and cost efficiency.
- Deliver benchmarking studies comparing client plans against market practices and industry standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on employee benefits strategy and healthcare risk management.
- Present analytical findings, financial impacts, and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
- Support the design and optimization of employee benefits programs.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and integrity across all analytical exercises.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and executive summaries using data visualization tools.
- Produce periodic reports on claims trends, utilization patterns, and emerging healthcare risks.
- Maintain and improve actuarial models, methodologies, and analytical frameworks.
- Support new business opportunities through actuarial assessments, pricing reviews, and proposal development.
- Participate in client presentations, RFP responses, and prospect meetings.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to identify opportunities for expanded services and value-added solutions.
- Build strong working relationships with insurers, healthcare providers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional and global analytics teams to share best practices and methodologies.
- Manage, coach, and develop actuarial and analytics team members.
- Allocate workload and oversee project delivery timelines.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for analytical outputs.
- Ensure all analyses and recommendations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and information security standards.
- Maintain actuarial documentation and audit readiness.
Candidate Profile and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in actuarial and analytics roles, preferably within the health and benefits sector. This role requires demonstrated expertise in advanced data analysis, healthcare cost modeling, risk assessment, and financial forecasting. Strong leadership capabilities are essential for managing and developing a team, alongside proven skills in client advisory and stakeholder management. Proficiency in data visualization tools and adherence to compliance and data governance standards are also key requirements.
