Role Overview: Manager Technology Planning

The Manager Technology Planning ensures the Technology unit operates with clear direction, effective prioritization, and strong alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, translates business needs into structured IT plans that support operational efficiency, informed decision-making, and sustainable growth. The position optimizes technology resource utilization, strengthens governance, and enables successful delivery of IT initiatives to enhance overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and advancement of the IT Department’s planning function to align with organizational strategic objectives and future direction.
• Establish and enhance planning, governance, and performance management practices to improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the IT function.
• Partner with IT leadership and stakeholders to ensure the department meets evolving business needs, supports transformation agendas, and responds to future growth requirements.
• Contribute to building a forward-looking IT function capable of sustaining growth, enabling transformation, and delivering measurable business value.
• Manage and maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, service providers, and strategic partners to support IT priorities and maximize value.
• Champion continuous improvement in planning processes, operational coordination, and governance standards to build a more mature, agile, and scalable IT organization.

Managerial Duties

• Provide input to the Department’s strategy from the Section or Unit perspective, aligning with RSG’s vision and mission.
• Supervise the preparation of planning reports, performance updates, and management dashboards, ensuring timely communication of key insights to leadership.
• Contribute to the Section or Unit’s budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
• Manage the coordination of planning activities across the IT Department, providing direction to ensure priorities, timelines, and deliverables are monitored and achieved.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and strategic partners to support planning requirements, service alignment, and successful IT initiative delivery.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in technology planning, IT governance, or a related field. The position requires a professional who can translate complex business needs into actionable IT strategies and plans.
