Job Description
About the Role
Omrania is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Inspector (Saudi National) to join their site supervision team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection and a strong understanding of industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Perform detailed inspections of mechanical installations, including piping, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and potential issues observed during inspections.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all findings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve identified mechanical issues.
- Verify the effective and timely implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical inspection.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical building services, encompassing installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Proven track record in inspecting HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
- Previous experience within engineering consultancies is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and material specifications.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols, and industry compliance standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and local Saudi codes.
- Skilled in the use of inspection, documentation, and reporting tools/software.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and the overall project lifecycle.
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to efficiently identify and resolve site issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain quality standards.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in demanding environments.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require travel to various project sites within Riyadh and potentially across Saudi Arabia.
