Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine analysis in one of the divisions of Clinical Laboratory and blood bank department under supervision of the Senior Medical Technician staff. May rotate through various laboratory sections to stay familiar with emergency procedures.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures superior quality of medical treatment and compassion for every patient.
• Performs laboratory duties on-call/shift roster including public holidays.
• Receives specimens in aseptic conditions and prepares them for testing.
• Creates daily worksheets according to diagnostic applications.
• Performs routine testing according to SOPs and quality control assessments.
• Maintains calibration of equipment and documents all activities.
• Reports technical deficiencies to Senior Technician.
• Participates in training of new technicians.
• Educates patients and families regarding their needs and implements educational policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• One year of similar experience required.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of computers and quality control.

A medical laboratory technician is required to work in specialized medical laboratories, proficient in conducting laboratory tests and analyzing samples with high accuracy. The ideal candidate has experience in using modern laboratory equipment, preparing medical reports, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Job responsibilities include: drawing blood samples, conducting chemical and biological tests, recording results in the electronic system, and contributing to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
