About the Role

Medicals International is seeking a full-time Medical Sales Representative to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses specifically on the Ophthalmology product line. The primary objective is to manage and organize all accounts within an assigned territory, effectively mapping the area, and consistently achieving sales targets through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing plans, including introducing new products and reinforcing existing ones, in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Conduct continuous industry research to maintain updated knowledge and share relevant articles and studies with retailers, practitioners, and colleagues.
  • Provide necessary training to practitioners and assistants regarding products and their proper use.
  • Uphold a professional company image through high work ethics, superior product knowledge, and comprehensive information dissemination.
  • Manage customer complaints professionally after consulting with the sales manager, and respond to customer queries knowledgeably.
  • Thoroughly research competitive products, including their composition, packaging, pricing, and offers.
  • Introduce and sell the full product line equally by applying established selling techniques.
  • Achieve sales targets for the assigned territory by following a monthly schedule and completing a minimum of 15 sales calls daily.
  • Manage the entire sales deal process, including taking orders, preparing quotations and offers, agreeing on payment terms, and placing orders.
  • Consult with the supervisor for special discounts or deviations from the standard price list.
  • Professionally and ethically follow up on client payments.
  • Continuously complete sales cycles by visiting all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory.
  • Handle troubleshooting for existing products after referring to the supervisor for appropriate action.
  • Optimize time and manage costs effectively within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer history, requests, and dealings.
  • Prepare a monthly schedule in coordination with the supervisor and submit daily reports on activities and achievements.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a field-based position that requires the incumbent to be on the road consistently. Due to the nature of the job and potential remote distances, daily email checks and continuous connectivity are essential. A valid driving license is a mandatory requirement for this role.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent is required. A Master's degree is considered an advantage.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the sales field.
