Mgr Housekeeping

About the Role

St. Regis is seeking a Mgr-Housekeeping for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is responsible for the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry (if applicable). The Manager will direct and collaborate with employees to ensure that guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are clean and well-maintained. The position involves conducting inspections, holding staff accountable for corrective actions, and contributing to guest and employee satisfaction while adhering to the operating budget. Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience.

Housekeeping Operations and Budget Management

• Ensure timely and efficient communication of guest room status to the Front Desk.
• Inspect guestrooms daily and obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned or checked out to prepare work assignments.
• Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Support and supervise an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public spaces.
• Manage operations to achieve or exceed budgeted goals, understanding the department's impact on property financial objectives.
• Verify that all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Communicate areas needing attention to staff and follow up to confirm understanding.
• Supervise daily Housekeeping shift operations and ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
• Participate in departmental meetings and communicate departmental goals clearly and consistently.

Human Resources Activities

• Utilize available on-the-job training tools for new room attendants and provide follow-up training as needed.
• Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with employees.
• Schedule employees according to business demands and track employee time and attendance.
• Ensure employees understand expectations and parameters.
• Verify that property policies are administered fairly and consistently, and that disciplinary procedures and documentation adhere to SOPs and LSOPs.
• Supervise staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
• Observe employee service behaviors and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure employee recognition occurs on all shifts and participate in ongoing recognition programs.
• Solicit employee feedback, maintain an "open door" policy, and review employee satisfaction results to address concerns.
• Participate in employee progressive discipline procedures and recognize team member contributions.

• Set a positive example for guest relations and understand the brand's service culture.
• Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Empower employees to deliver excellent customer service.
• Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
• Respond to and resolve guest problems and complaints effectively.
• Strive to continuously improve service performance.
