Network Security Engineer

About the Role

Accelerec is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves safeguarding the organization's digital assets and contributing to a robust security posture. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in security engineering.

Role Overview

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing the security infrastructure. This includes working with various security solutions, cloud platforms, and conducting regular assessments to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. The position offers an opportunity to work with security technologies in a growing market.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud security controls across various cloud platforms to protect sensitive data and applications.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security weaknesses.
• Analyze security events and alerts from SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats effectively.
• Develop and execute security auditing procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Automate security tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle and promote a security-conscious culture.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a security engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and manage network and cloud security solutions.
• Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and security event analysis.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python and Bash for security automation.
