About the Role

Uber is seeking an Operations Manager, Rider Growth SA, to join the Rider team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on two key growth areas: airport operations and strategic portfolio initiatives. The position requires an execution-focused individual with strong analytical skills to identify, launch, and scale new opportunities and premium mobility products within the Saudi Arabian market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Airport Rider Growth and Performance, monitoring demand, conversion, reliability, ETA, and product mix to identify improvement areas.
• Enhance the Airport Rider Experience by addressing friction points in pickup, wayfinding, and product availability.
• Utilize data through SQL and dashboards to understand rider behavior, diagnose performance gaps, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Lead the operational execution of airport initiatives and partnerships, collaborating with Business Development and Operations teams.
• Implement best practices from EMEA and global Uber markets, adapting relevant solutions for Saudi Arabia.
• Oversee a portfolio of strategic Rider growth initiatives, from initial hypothesis and business case development to launch and iteration.
• Support the launch and expansion of new rider use cases and products, developing local operating plans and monitoring performance.
• Identify and execute opportunities to grow premium products like Black and Comfort, focusing on rider experience and product consideration.
• Develop and execute Rider plans for major events, ensuring service during high-demand periods.
• Engage with external partners and stakeholders, representing the Rider perspective and managing execution discussions.
• Structure ambiguous problems, identify next steps, and proactively drive projects forward while maintaining stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in Operations, Strategy, Growth, Management Consulting, Technology, Marketplace businesses, or a related field.
• Strong business and operational acumen, with the ability to translate complex problems into clear plans.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in using data to identify opportunities and make decisions.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to work independently with large datasets, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Proven project and program management skills, with experience from problem definition to execution and measurement.
• Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate across diverse teams.
• Clear and confident communication skills for internal and external interactions.
• Strong business judgment, balancing rider experience, growth, operational feasibility, and commercial considerations.
• Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, effective in ambiguous situations.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills, managing multiple initiatives concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language proficiency.
• Experience in mobility, marketplaces, travel, airports, transportation, consumer technology, or other high-growth industries.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Employees are generally expected to spend at least 50% of their time in the office, unless approved for full remote work. Specific requirements for this role can be discussed with the Recruiter.
