About the Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a Pediatric Registrar to join its medical team in Riyadh, Riyadh Region. This full-time position involves diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses within the Pediatric department. The role requires examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients thoroughly and document findings accurately.
  • Design and execute comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Educate patients on their health condition, required investigations, treatment options, and medication use.
  • Provide patient education on health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
  • Order and meticulously review results of patient investigations.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications for patients.
  • Fulfill all obligations related to maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare pertinent to their individual cases.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Compliance and Professional Development

The Pediatric Registrar is required to adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) Policies and Procedures (P&P), Bylaws Strategic Plan, Rules & Regulation, and the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines within NCC. This includes establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments, local agencies, vendors, patients, and their families. The role involves active participation in all assigned NCC Committees and Task Forces, and strict adherence to CBAHI standards of care. Responsibilities also encompass completing fire safety requirements, complying with clinical and departmental structure standards (including attendance), and participating in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities to ensure Clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality Standards and Regulations are met. The Registrar will contribute to the continuous professional development of junior staff, integrate population factors into patient care, and support an active Continuing Medical Education program, which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs, as assigned by the chairman.

Specialty Privileges

Specific clinical privileges will be granted to the Registrar based on their training, experience, and skills, in accordance with the guidelines set by the Saudi Health Council. Additional tasks will be performed as required by the specialty and approved Clinical Privileges.

Work Environment

This is an indoor, full-time position, with 100% of work performed within the clinic setting. The standard work schedule is 6 working days per week with 1 day off, totaling 8 net working hours per day, arranged according to a shift schedule approved by the head of the department.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Registrar, specifically within a pediatric department.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive patient examinations, medical history taking, and diagnostic test interpretation.
  • Proficiency in prescribing medications and providing patient counseling on health-related matters.
  • Strong commitment to adhering to clinical policies, procedures, and quality standards.
