The Role: Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling activities across our construction projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Planning Manager will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements through robust planning and control methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project master schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and look-ahead programs.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis and evaluate schedule risks.
• Coordinate planning activities with project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Monitor project performance against approved schedules and contractual milestones.
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims through schedule analysis and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project planning standards, reporting procedures, and client requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Planning Engineers within the project team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a comprehensive understanding of project planning and controls. Required qualifications and experience include:

• A strong background in project controls, scheduling, progress monitoring, and resource planning.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project planning, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using Primavera P6 for schedule development and management is essential.
