About the Role

SAB is seeking a Policy Governance Manager to join its Policy Governance & Assurance department. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is essential for ensuring the compliance and effectiveness of organizational policies and procedures. The role involves maintaining alignment with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and best practices, while also driving improvements in governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive reviews of policies and the Management Policy Manual (MPM) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal standards, and industry best practices.
• Ensure consistent application of policy structure, classification, definitions, and alignment with the Delegation of Authority (DoA) across all organizational policies.
• Conduct implementation challenge assessments to evaluate policy feasibility, identify discrepancies between policy intent and execution, and drive issue resolution.
• Manage and maintain mapping of regulatory requirements to internal policies, identifying and remediating compliance gaps, overlaps, and associated risks.
• Develop and maintain policy standards, templates, taxonomy, and internal review guidelines.
• Provide expert support to policy owners in developing governance frameworks and ensuring alignment with internal requirements.
• Plan and execute Policy Effectiveness Reviews, preparing detailed reports for Executive Management and Board/Board Committees.
• Manage and coordinate the timely submission of policy-related documentation to Executive Management and Board/Board Committees.
• Establish and oversee standards and health-check mechanisms for procedure implementation, ensuring alignment between policies and procedures.
• Drive enhancements to governance processes, workflows, internal controls, and supporting systems and tools.
• Lead policy governance working groups, serving as a central point of contact for stakeholder coordination and communication.
• Manage the centralized policy repository, overseeing version control, documentation, publication, and retirement of outdated policies.
• Oversee end-to-end policy lifecycle management, including tracking, approvals, timelines, and effective date management.
• Provide advisory support to stakeholders across the organization and address policy-related queries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in policy and procedure development and governance.
• Solid understanding of regulatory knowledge, with a preference for experience with CMA / SAMA or equivalent regulatory bodies.
• Demonstrated capability in conducting research and benchmarking to inform policy development and governance.
• Strong expertise in governance and process management.
• Effective organization, coordination, and project management skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and documentation management.
