Portfolio Strategy and Asset Allocation Professional

About the Role

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) is seeking a Portfolio Strategy and Asset Allocation Professional to join its International Investments team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves contributing to the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of strategic asset allocation frameworks and diversified multi-asset portfolios. The professional will support long-term portfolio construction aligned with investment objectives and policy statements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and implementation of Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) frameworks in alignment with long-term objectives, risk tolerance, and Investment Policy Statement (IPS) constraints.
• Contribute to the development and periodic review of capital market assumptions, including expected returns, volatility, and correlations across various asset classes.
• Support the development and review of investment policy statements, policy benchmarks, allocation ranges, and rebalancing frameworks.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Performance and Analytics team to monitor portfolio performance, attribution, and risk exposures against approved benchmarks and investment policy requirements.
• Assess portfolio exposure across asset classes, geographies, sectors, currencies, and other investment factors, including concentration and liquidity risks.
• Evaluate specialized investment strategies and implementation approaches for their contribution to portfolio objectives, diversification, and risk-adjusted outcomes.
• Support approved allocation changes and portfolio rebalancing by coordinating with external manager selection teams and other relevant PIF departments.
• Prepare investment proposals, recommendations, and memos.
• Contribute to representing PIF International Investments at conferences and industry events related to international public markets.
• Prepare presentations and updates pertaining to International Public Investments proposals and performance for PIF Committees and Executive Management.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal update reports and required updates for the PIF Board and related committees and/or other entities.

Operational Accountabilities

• Implement operational excellence improvement initiatives and propose enhancements to systems, processes, and practices, considering international leading practices to continuously improve organizational effectiveness and business performance.
• Support the development of policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls as requested, or propose relevant enhancements as needed, ensuring alignment and adherence to compliance, risk, audit, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in portfolio strategy and asset allocation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the International Investments team of the Public Investment Fund.
