Role Overview

ALSTOM Transmission & Distribution is seeking a POS Automation Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves applying automation engineering expertise to deliver high-quality automation and control-command systems for traction projects. The engineer will collaborate with various internal teams and ensure technical monitoring of subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform automation basic engineering activities for projects or programs.
• Define architectures for automation and control-command systems.
• Provide technical and interface specifications for automation systems.
• Ensure technical monitoring of subcontractors for automation programs and cubicles.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests for automation systems.
• Provide technical support to Field Operations teams for design-related issues.
• Participate in the Change & Configuration process, including managing automation configuration lists.
• Contribute to Return of Experience (REX) activities to improve future projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Automation Systems Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in automation systems, with a preference for experience in railway transportation.
• Experience in test and commissioning or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage.

Work Environment

The POS Automation Engineer will work closely with Engineering Teams, Cybersecurity teams, Field Operations, and Support Functions. This role involves a collaborative environment focused on delivering advanced automation solutions.
