POS Automation Engineer

About the Role

Alstom is seeking a POS Automation Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves applying automation engineering expertise to traction projects, focusing on the delivery of high-quality automation and control-command systems.

Role Context and Contribution

The Automation Engineer will play a key role in defining architectures for automation systems and providing technical and interface specifications. The role requires close collaboration with various internal teams, including Engineering, Cybersecurity, Field Operations, and Support Functions. Additionally, the position involves technical monitoring of subcontractors and providing technical support to field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing automation basic engineering activities for projects or programs.
• Defining architectures for automation and control-command systems.
• Providing technical and interface specifications for automation systems.
• Ensuring technical monitoring of subcontractors for automation programs and cubicles.
• Participating in factory acceptance tests for automation systems.
• Providing technical support to Field Operations teams for design-related issues.
• Participating in the Change & Configuration process, including managing automation configuration lists.
• Contributing to Return of Experience (REX) activities to improve future projects.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires expertise in automation engineering and a demonstrated ability to work with complex control-command systems. Specific skills related to defining system architectures, technical specifications, and risk management are essential.
