Al-Futtaim is seeking a Pre Sales Engineer, Engineering & Technologies Saudi National, to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing essential technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle for elevator systems, contributing to the company's operations in the region.

Role Overview

The Pre Sales Engineer is responsible for analyzing client and tender requirements to recommend appropriate elevator systems, ensuring full compliance with relevant safety standards. This role is integral to supporting the sales process, requiring technical acumen to develop detailed specifications, perform traffic analyses, and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this position is achieved through a keen understanding of elevator technology, effective communication, and collaborative efforts with sales and engineering teams to deliver tailored elevator solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze client and tender requirements, including building type, height, traffic flow, and usage, to recommend suitable elevator systems such as passenger, freight, and panoramic lifts.
• Perform comprehensive traffic analysis to determine the optimal number, speed, and capacity of elevators required for specific projects.
• Ensure all proposed solutions and designs comply with local codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop detailed technical specifications and accurately input these specifications into the E-gis system.
• Coordinate and prepare drawings and layouts based on technical specifications, covering critical dimensions such as shaft size, machine room, pit depth, and headroom.
• Request CIF/FOB prices from the factory and collaborate with internal teams to accurately estimate project pricing.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Clarify technical queries during the bidding stage and prepare comprehensive responses to RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
• Review tender documents, identify technical requirements, prepare compliance sheets and deviation lists, and ensure all submissions meet project specifications.
• Transfer all technical details accurately to the execution team for seamless project implementation.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by superiors from time to time, which may include activities related to production and shipments.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a pre-sales or technical engineering role, ideally within the elevator or related building systems industry.

Additional Requirements

• Possession of a valid KSA Driving License is required.
