About the Presales Engineer Role
IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a Presales Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting our sales and business development initiatives by providing technical expertise and solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Regional Sales Director in customer meetings and business development activities.
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demonstrations of IDEMIA solutions.
- Address customer technical inquiries and articulate IDEMIA’s unique selling propositions.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer needs and business challenges.
- Manage Proof of Concept (POC) activities from planning through to completion.
- Configure and deploy IDEMIA products and solutions for demonstrations and POCs.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, partners, and system integrators during evaluations and POCs.
- Define solution architectures and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs, and customer presentations.
- Collaborate with Product Management to relay customer feedback and market requirements.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends, providing input for product development.
- Liaise with Engineering, Product, Support, and Sales teams to resolve technical issues.
- Assist with project handover processes as needed.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly activity reports.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical, integration, pre-sales, or solutions engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with biometric technologies, identity management, physical access control, or security solutions.
- Proven experience supporting customer demonstrations, technical workshops, POCs, and solution design.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture, systems integration principles, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience in government, airport, transportation, public security, or critical infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience collaborating effectively with customers, partners, and system integrators.
Work Location and Travel
This role is based in Riyadh. The position requires regular travel across Saudi Arabia and may involve travel within the wider Middle East region to support customer engagements, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.
