The Role of Procurement Manager

Salehiya Healthcare is seeking a Procurement Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is responsible for managing the company’s supply of products and services. The Procurement Manager will strategize to identify cost-effective and high-quality deals and suppliers, focusing on reducing procurement expenses while upholding the highest quality standards to support the delivery of exceptional products and services in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement company-wide sourcing strategies and roadmaps aligned with financial targets, sustainability goals, ethical standards, and compliance requirements.
• Lead and coordinate all sourcing and procurement activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders to define specifications, clarify requirements, and align with business needs.
• Spearhead supplier negotiations, contract finalization, letters of intent, and commercial agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
• Identify cost-optimization opportunities and drive initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership while maintaining high quality and service levels.
• Build, manage, and maintain a strong supplier base through value-driven partnership models, continuously monitoring supplier performance and market trends.
• Perform risk management on supply contracts, anticipate disruptions, and implement effective mitigation and control strategies.
• Enforce strict compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards (*, FDA, local health authorities) for all sourced medical and non-medical supplies.
• Analyze purchasing requirements, demand forecasts, and stock levels to approve orders for goods and services efficiently.
• Implement a strict supplier deviation process and protocols to ensure the highest quality and services are maintained.
• Lead the implementation and usage of procurement technologies (*, ERP systems) to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure procurement support for new projects, initiatives, and business developments is achieved within target deadlines.
• Prepare the annual procurement budget, track financial variances, and report directly to executive management.
• Create dashboards and tracking reports to highlight key procurement metrics that drive spend control, business continuity, and foster a long-term culture of savings and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex supply chains and supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Experience with procurement technologies and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards is preferred.
