We are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on a full-time basis.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Procurement Officer will play a key role in ensuring compliance with established procurement strategies and plans. This position is focused on securing the best value for money and achieving sustainable cost reductions on goods expenditure through diligent monitoring of the day-to-day procurement cycle. Responsibilities also include monitoring stock levels and proactively identifying purchasing needs to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Manager in the execution of the department's strategic plan.
• Prepare stock analysis reports, considering item movement and feedback from Area Sales Managers, for timely submission to the Procurement Manager.
• Coordinate the requisition process by reviewing submitted proformas and quotations, and issuing purchase orders and other relevant procurement documents.
• Maintain the accuracy of purchase orders, including items, quantities, due dates, special instructions, terms, conditions, and receipt dates.
• Verify current inventory levels and maintain precise records to prevent inventory gaps.
• Prepare daily reports for the Procurement Manager on the procurement cycle to ensure product delivery aligns with scheduled timelines.
• Maintain an updated database with accurate information about suppliers.
• Ensure all upcoming shipments are enrolled with necessary insurance, if required, to mitigate potential damages or loss in transit.
• Confirm that all special orders are signed by customers and accurately entered into the ERP system.
• Provide Certificates of Analysis and Technical Data Sheets to customers upon their request.
• Review all customs documents and formalities, coordinating with the shipping agency to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely shipment clearance, thereby avoiding demurrages and port shortage fees.
• Follow up and communicate with suppliers regarding updates, order status, material specifications, inquiries, and other issues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a procurement role or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of procurement strategies and day-to-day cycle management.
• Experience in monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs.
