PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

About the Role

Deemah is seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on achieving operational objectives through effective action plans and leading the operations team in identifying and resolving deviations and improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of production areas to ensure sanitation and address organizational issues at the start of each shift.
• Collect absentee reports from Line Leaders and take necessary actions to meet daily production targets.
• Distribute the production plan to each Line Leader, including any special requirements.
• Ensure the availability of adequate raw and packaging materials to meet production targets, informing Operations and Managers of any shortages.
• Review the daily labor schedule to minimize overtime and ensure assigned labor can perform required duties.
• Monitor process and quality parameters reported by operators to ensure products meet specifications, coordinating with Quality Control when specifications are not achieved.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure machines are prepared for operation, issuing requests as needed.
• Summarize shift performance, providing explanations for both positive and negative variances.
• Ensure all materials on the production floor are organized and excesses are returned to storage weekly.
• Arrange alternative activities for employees idled due to planned or unplanned line stoppages.
• Plan weekly sanitation requirements and communicate specific needs to relevant departments.
• Coordinate with foremen to prepare the plant for monthly inventory, ensuring necessary reports are submitted to Accounts.
• Coordinate with the shift mechanic and line leader to promptly address and fix machine problems.
• Monitor packers, helpers, and laborers to ensure they are working efficiently and according to approved quantities and quality.

Policy and Procedure Adherence

• Oversee the implementation of department policies, procedures, and controls covering all maintenance department activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant procedural/legislative requirements and the QMS (Quality + Halal Food management system) requirements, including ISO9001 and HFMS.
• Maintain awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adhere to HACCP & SQF rules.

Reporting and Supervision

• Accomplish assignments addressed by the Senior Supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by superiors.
