About the Role
Egis (KSA) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Control Manager to join its dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the structured planning, monitoring, and control of complex infrastructure and capital projects, overseeing them from feasibility through delivery and close-out. Candidates should possess over 10 years of relevant experience in project controls.
Role Overview
The Project Control Manager will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that program, cost, risk, and reporting functions are integrated, assured, and delivered to the highest professional standards. This includes adherence to client, stakeholder, and regulatory requirements. The position is suited for a resilient and analytical professional who thrives in goal-oriented environments and is committed to driving project success through transparent communication and innovative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment of project environments and client requirements, identifying challenges and collaborating with stakeholders to design and deliver tailored control solutions.
- Establish and manage fit-for-purpose project controls frameworks, including planning, cost, risk, and performance reporting, while developing robust baselines and integrating cost, schedule, and risk data.
- Oversee the analysis, documentation, and reporting of project findings and recommendations, producing clear, decision-ready insights for senior stakeholders through dashboards, KPI packs, trend analysis, and forecasting.
- Facilitate collaborative planning and controls sessions with client representatives, project teams, and delivery partners, both virtually and in-person.
- Apply and adapt established methodologies, processes, and tools to suit specific project needs, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and client-specific requirements.
- Support change control processes, QSRA activities, and the development and management of Earned Value Management (EVM) systems where required.
- Represent the organization within diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
- Coach and support project teams to build internal capability, improve consistency and quality across controls disciplines, and contribute to organizational development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Monitor project performance against established baselines, identify variances, and provide proactive recommendations to keep projects on track.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10+ years of project controls experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy, or major capital projects sectors.
- Proven expertise in project planning, cost management, schedule management, and performance reporting.
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6, cost management systems, and reporting tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel analytics.
- Solid understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, interface management, and integrated controls processes.
- Demonstrated experience operating in multi-contract, multi-stakeholder environments with complex governance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to present to senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Degree or HNC in an engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Right to Work in Saudi Arabia or ability to secure this prior to commencement of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and contract management principles.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), APM, or IPMA Level C certification.
- Chartered memberships such as MRICS or APM.
- Experience with project controls in the Middle East or GCC region.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabia regulatory frameworks and governance requirements.
- Proficiency in additional software tools such as Oracle Primavera, Planview, or PMO365.
- Experience with digital collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, Slack, and online whiteboarding platforms such as Miro.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural and diverse team environments.
- Experience writing and presenting reports to executive-level stakeholders in complex project environments.
