About KBR Saudi Arabia and the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Project Controls Manager who is a Saudi National to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role reports directly to the Project Director and is central to ensuring robust project oversight. The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive planning, estimating, cost control, risk management, and document control services, providing essential information for proactive and accurate project reporting.

Project Overview

The Project Controls Manager will contribute to a major infrastructure programme for a mixed-use development in Riyadh. This ambitious project aims to establish a global landmark, recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination. The community is designed to be a distinct, self-sustaining hub within Riyadh, featuring several iconic assets. KBR provides Project Management Consultancy services for this development, encompassing project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and the implementation of development and early works packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the project controls team.
  • Develop and implement the project controls execution strategy to meet contract requirements.
  • Establish project controls standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the program management team on all aspects of project controls.
  • Establish and manage the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project master schedule.
  • Establish and manage the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), budget, and project cost control.
  • Establish and manage the risk management plan.
  • Establish and manage document control processes.
  • Establish and manage change control procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze project progress, cost, and risk.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly and weekly reports.
  • Prepare and make presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls.
  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering and commercial aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) networks, resource and cost loading, and risk management techniques.
  • Ability to effectively monitor and analyze progress, cost, and risks, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Experienced user of MS Office and Primavera software.
  • Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to a significant infrastructure development project.
