The Project Doctor Role

El Seif Engineering Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Doctor for a full-time position based in Riyadh. This role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience to provide essential occupational health and emergency medical services to project personnel. The Project Doctor is crucial for protecting worker health, managing occupational risks, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to all project personnel.
• Diagnose and treat occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries.
• Stabilize emergency cases before transfer to hospital.
• Maintain a fully operational project clinic and ambulance, ensuring medical equipment and medicines are available, calibrated, and within expiry dates.
• Liaise with local hospitals and emergency medical services.
• Act as the lead medical responder during emergencies and participate in emergency drills.
• Conduct pre-employment, periodic, high-risk activity worker, and return-to-work medical examinations.
• Monitor heat stress risks during summer months and implement heat stress prevention programs.
• Plan and conduct health-related training and awareness sessions.
• Manage outbreaks and implement infection control measures.
• Conduct regular Camp Hygiene and Food Hygiene Inspections.
• Maintain all confidential medical records, reports, audits, and inspections.
• Assess injured employees returning to work and monitor rehabilitation progress.
• Comply with corporate information security policies and procedures, preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate information.
• Ensure access to sensitive information is restricted to authorized individuals and protect organizational information assets from compromise.
• Comply with Data Protection and Intellectual Property Rights legislation applicable in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Project Doctor position must possess over 10 years of relevant experience. Key qualifications include the ability to:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat work-related and general medical conditions.
• Implement infection control measures and manage communicable disease risks on site.
• Implement and manage occupational health surveillance and medical monitoring programs.
• Provide medical support during incident investigations and recommend preventive health measures.
• Assess and manage health risks associated with heat, dehydration, dust, noise, chemicals, and other environmental exposures.
