About the Role

Albawani | البواني is seeking a Project Finance Associate to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time individual contributor role responsible for supporting project financing activities. The position focuses on preparing financial analyses and models, assisting in financing structuring, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful financial close of projects and ongoing monitoring of financing obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build and maintain project financial models, including Cash Flow, IRR, NPV, and DSCR. Analyze scenarios, perform sensitivity testing, and evaluate the financial feasibility of new and ongoing projects.
• Financing Structuring & Financial Close Support: Assist in preparing Information Memorandums and financing proposals. Support negotiations with banks and financial institutions, and coordinate with financial and legal advisors throughout the financial close process.
• Post-Closing Financing Monitoring: Monitor loan drawdowns and debt repayment schedules. Ensure compliance with financing agreements and covenants, and track restricted accounts such as DSRA and Escrow.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a key point of contact with banks and financial institutions. Coordinate with engineering and project teams to track project progress, and support periodic reporting to senior management.
• Reporting & Analytical Support: Prepare regular financial performance reports for projects. Analyze variances between actual and projected performance, and support investment and financing decision-making through financial analysis.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in project finance. The role requires a strong emphasis on project cash flows and financial sustainability, ensuring successful financial close and ongoing monitoring of financing obligations post-close.

The Project Finance Associate will engage with various internal and external stakeholders:

• Internal: Senior Management, Project & Engineering Teams, Treasury and Accounting, Legal Department.
• External: Banks and Financial Institutions, Financial and Legal Advisors, Auditors.
