About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly capable QA/QC Engineer to join its site team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to a major public realm development project in Diriyah, where the successful candidate will ensure adherence to quality assurance and control standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Context

The Diriyah public realm development is a significant initiative that includes the creation of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The primary objective of this program is to establish a vibrant and inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and overall community well-being. The QA/QC Engineer will contribute directly to achieving these quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Contractor's material submittals and secure necessary approvals in accordance with applicable standards and project specifications.
• Serve as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site.
• Conduct inspections to verify that work has been executed in compliance with contract specifications.
• Coordinate material testing activities with subconsultants.
• Maintain office files pertinent to the project, material inspections, and prepare daily diaries.
• Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
• Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work.
• Identify potential conflicts, issues, and problems related to construction materials, reporting them to the supervisor with proposed solutions.
• Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), inspection tags, and other relevant material information.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff as required.
• Participate in the development of job safety practices and the preparation of safety reports.
• Contribute to the development of quality control reports and procedures.
• Perform mathematical calculations to prepare engineering calculations, graphs, and charts.
• Observe, check, and record work execution to ensure it aligns with approved methods.
• Verify that delivered materials are approved and properly stored.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a QA/QC engineering role, preferably within large-scale public realm or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated capability to perform engineering calculations and data representation (graphs, charts).
• Strong understanding of construction materials, relevant industry standards, and project specifications.
• Experience in coordinating with contractors, subconsultants, and site teams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, specifically supporting the Diriyah public realm development. The role involves working as part of a dedicated site team within a dynamic project environment.
