The Role of Junior Quantity Surveyor

ALEC Holdings is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Junior to join the Commercial Department in Riyadh. This full-time role involves contributing to high-end interior projects for luxury spaces within hospitality, retail, and commercial developments. The Junior Quantity Surveyor will report to the Quantity Surveyor and collaborate with other quantity surveyors, project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure accurate cost control, documentation, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare project start-up forms and insurance documentation.
• Assist in preparing insurance claims and notifications for delays, loss, and expenses.
• Support in developing delay/disruption claims (Time and Cost).
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs from drawings.
• Measure site progress and assist in preparing payment applications.
• Maintain and verify site asset registers.
• Assist in compiling monthly progress applications for the client.
• Review subcontractor payment applications and documentation.
• Support preparation of payments and contra charges.
• Contribute to monthly cost reporting and documentation.
• Promote effective communication within the commercial team.
• Uphold ALEC’s professional image at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in a relevant commercial role.
• A detail-oriented approach to commercial tasks.
