About Sitaf Food and the Role
Sitaf Food is seeking a Regulatory & Import Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring that all imported products comply with the necessary regulatory requirements, certifications, and customs clearance procedures.
Role Summary
The specialist will be responsible for managing all processes related to the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA), including import documentation and securing regulatory approvals. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that every imported product adheres to established legal and quality standards, thereby supporting Sitaf Food's operational integrity and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee product registrations, labeling approvals, and certifications with SFDA and other relevant authorities.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth clearance of shipments, resolving any documentation or compliance issues.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to integrate regulatory requirements into sourcing and shipping processes.
- Monitor and track changes in SFDA regulations, customs requirements, and import laws, updating internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Identify potential risks related to compliance, shipment delays, or product rejections, and escalate and resolve these issues to prevent business disruption.
Experience and Qualifications
Candidates applying for this full-time role should possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in regulatory affairs, import management, or a related field. A strong understanding of SFDA regulations and international import procedures is essential.
Work Environment
This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team, contributing to the efficient and compliant import operations of Sitaf Food.
