The Role of Restaurant Supervisor

We are seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. The Supervisor ensures high standards of customer service and satisfaction, manages staff, maintains quality and hygiene standards, and resolves customer complaints to ensure efficient operations. The role also involves coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure food and beverage services consistently meet expected standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and act in a manner consistent with Foodsmith's mission.
• Ensure all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed promptly.
• Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation, serving, and building maintenance.
• Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness through employee training and fostering a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements for the restaurant, employees, and guests.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
• Ensure all products are received in correct unit count and condition, and deliveries are performed according to receiving policies.
• Review financial statements, sales, or activity reports to measure productivity, goal achievement, or identify areas for improvement.
• Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
• Maintain food and equipment inventories and keep accurate records.
• Schedule staff hours, assign duties, and establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.
• Perform food preparation or service tasks, such as cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks, when necessary.
• Maintain records required by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies.
• Test cooked food by tasting and smelling to ensure palatability and flavor conformity.
• Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, participate in hiring and termination decisions, and evaluate employee performance.
• Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and provide support to fellow employees as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry, with a focus on restaurant food service.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role is beneficial.
• Relevant certifications are beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Work Environment

This full-time position is based on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The salary for this role ranges from SAR 4000 to 5000 per month. The Restaurant Supervisor will operate within a dynamic environment focused on delivering high standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction.
