About the Role
KADL FITOUT COMPANY is seeking a Safety Engineer (Executive) to join their team. This full-time position involves the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all company projects and sites. The role is crucial for ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies to foster a safe working environment and prevent workplace incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across project sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements (MS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs for employees and workers.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Maintain HSE records, reports, statistics, and documentation.
- Coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and fire safety activities.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding HSE matters.
- Monitor compliance with environmental requirements and waste management procedures.
- Support project teams in achieving company and client safety objectives.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred. A valid Saudi driving license is also preferred. The role requires 5-10 years of experience, with a specific emphasis on 3–7 years in HSE management within construction, fit-out, MEP, or contracting projects. Experience working on construction sites in Saudi Arabia is essential, along with familiarity with Saudi Labor Law, HSE regulations, and international safety standards.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and risk management.
- Ability to prepare HSE reports and conduct incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project sites.
